Dinner at Ninja Akasaka

£40 per unit

Waiters dressed as ninjas usher you through a series of winding wooden corridors designed to evoke the interior of an ancient Japanese castle, decorated with treasure chests and similar cool details. Others sneak up with menus and food, and there’s also an itinerant magician. It’s good, harmless fun and very popular. Food is Japanese with plenty of Western tweaks – just go for the sushi if you get tired of reading the lengthy menu scroll, or splurge on a dinner course (from ¥5,700) for the full monty. This certainly isn't the cheapest theme restaurant in Tokyo, but it just might be the best.
